DePaul's Community Baby Shower

DePaul hosted a community baby shower, and a food distribution with Aetna’s grocery mobile unit, at its Carrollton clinic location.

Patients received helpful health care information from DIEEP and other vendors, in addition to free groceries from the mobile unit. Polaroid photos were also available for patients to take with their families. 

​​​​​​​DePaul's Rooted in Care, Growing in Strength: Celebrating Mothers

DePaul hosted an event at its New Orleans East location where patients were able to obtain free groceries from Aetna at the conclusion of their appointments.

Mothers at the clinic were also given Mother’s Day cards at DIEEP’s outreach table and had the opportunity to have Polaroid photos taken as a keepsake.

One Happy Mama Maternal Health Block Party

DIEEP participated in the One Happy Mama Maternal Health Block Party. This interactive outdoor event featured several vendors that offered resources and information on maternal health, as well as food, a mobile unit, and games for children.

DIEEP attended a community baby shower hosted by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and AmeriHealth Caritas.

Those who attended received information regarding postpartum depression and breastfeeding from the DIEEP table. 

New Orleans Chamber of Commerce - Women's Leadership Conference

DIEEP attended and delivered a presentation at the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Leadership Conference, educating attendees on the importance of the PUMP Act. 

CCFS & DePaul's Community Action Network (C.A.N) Meeting

DIEEP and Crescent City Family Services (CCFS) hosted a Community Action Network (C.A.N) meeting, which brought together several health care professionals and other community leaders.

Maternal Health Awareness Social Media Posts

January 19-23, 2026

During the week of Maternal Health Awareness Day, which is observed annually on January 23, DIEEP led a social media campaign to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding and statistics regarding maternal mental health. Social media posts, which contained quick facts about maternal health, were posted throughout that week.
